Of Recalls and Shiny things

Ah, another beautiful Monday. The birds are singing, the day is lazy in its start...or would have been had the screech of the telephone not jerked me out of bed to answer to a recall. Off to work, no shower, no breakfast, barely a kiss goodbye. LOL. I forget about these days most of the time.

Long overdue update:

A trip to Arkansas made for a LOT of fun! I got to see the ladies. Got my belly rubbed a lot, and generally had a wonderful time! We ate wonderful Chinese food with chop sticks...well half of us did, lol...had a great dinner cooked for us (thanks M!)...and had all around good stuff like: a gorgeous bouquet of wild flowers given to me, I got to know a little munchkin who likes to watch cartoons, and other fun and crazy stuff. And, for the first time in a long time, I was able to drive a long distance. I've missed road trips.

Then a stop at da Momma's House. Soon to be grandmomma...and very excited. The dawg got to play with other pups...he actually wore himself into the ground. My brother...soon to be a first time uncle...was tired. Poor guy. He works nights and woke up early to see his pregnant sister. *WEG*

The baby is healthy and energetic. He's definitely got a kick to him having knocked the breath out of me twice already. LOL. I have several people who stop by daily and talk to my belly. I'm getting used to it, slowly. HTE's seen it on several occasions. In public. LOL.

The last week in April was really fun. HTE, me, and my cohorts at work were able to help rebuild a kitchen for a very cool guy. He'd been in a wheel chair for almost thirty years, was very independent, and told some hilarious stories. We had a blast laying drywall and mud. The project is still a WIP, but it'll be done by next weekend.

One day Stitch (the adorable but glitchy camaro) will come home. Soon, my love, soon. We're trying to be patient. LOL. But things just keep going wrong.

Of other things...I'm writing again. YAAAAY. It's been a while, but with the loving, if painful, reminders from my friends and loved ones...I realize I've been neglectful for FAR too long. So, the plan tonight...clean house! hehe

A clean house is a sure sign of a procrastinating writer. hmmm. Yep, that's about right. Besides, HTE needs a clutter-free environment...especially since the dog with a brain the size of a walnut has decided he likes visine...packing tape...and anything else that he can jump up and grab to play with. *sigh*

Da boys should have their surprise in the mail by tomorrow, methinks. I hope they love it. :-) Check out http://himselftheelf.blogspot.com/ for more info. Love you, honey.

I think that about covers it.

So:
