Birthday Fun and the Sickie Blahs

163 beats per minute and the size of a peanut! That's our baby! Read on to find out more!

Well, my birthday (the 24th) was amazing this year! The best in eleven years! HTE took me out to lunch and we had a wonderful day lazing around and walking through our favorite stores. I was so happy to be off work!

The visit to the doc filled me with apprehension. I'm always nervous, but I can't seem to stop it. LOL. Anyway, the doc told me that my insane exhaustion is perfectly normal. ;-) He seemed happy that my sickies is limited to when I'm hungry, but then came the best treat of all!

I got a sonogram! They did an ultrasound and I heard our baby's heartbeat! 163 bpm...perfectly normal. :-) I have my first pic...and it's official...it's a PEANUT!!! A very active peanut, actually, according to the doc...and I was at 7 weeks and 5 days. Which put me right where I thought I was...preggars around the 1st of December. *WEG*

The doc's sticking with the original date of 9 September. I still say the 6th, but HTE stands by his choice...the baby will be ready when it's ready. LOL. ;-) True.

I called my Mom and sent out a few messages. Everyone was really excited! My partner in ezine crime, A, got her job! So she has only a few weeks to get everything moved and ready to go for her new career! Huge congrats her way!

So, I returned to work the next day ready to teach. Two hours into my day and half an hour into my evaluation, I got very sick to my stomach. Suddenly, I realized...I wasn't hungry at all. Uh oh. LOL. Turns out I have a very nice 24 hour bug. After work last night, I crashed until 9pm. Ate some soup, crashed again, and woke up this morning still sick.

I, however, am not the only one, as poor HTE has been fighting the same thing for two days. He's feeling much better today, so definitely good stuff! I hope he feels up to getting some writing done, as he hit a frustration moment yesterday with a character's development. Keep at it baby, it'll come together.

So, to everyone who's waiting...my WIP is done! I'll be sending it to everyone tonight to crit! *WEG*

HTE ~ I love you, my heart. Thank you for taking such good care of me, whiney sickies and all. LOL.

Mariah ~ I hope you feel better, honey. You're in my thoughts.

Lady Wolf ~ Thanks for the huggles this morning. Sorry I had to bail like that...the sickies wait for no woman!

My lady CP's ~ Thanks for pushing me to get this piece done!

C and D ~ I can't wait to catch up with you this weekend, ladies. Love you very much!

Kim ~ Hang in there! Keep subbing!

To all else, have a great day!

I'm out.

Thursday zooms by

This morning has flown by with barely a moment to catch my breath. Today is appointment after appointment, full of interesting doctor questions and exercise suggestions. This afternoon is my first pre-natal, so I'm pretty nervous. :-)

This morning, HTE woke with me after a couple of moments extra cuddle time. I laid in bed and realized...I fell asleep AGAIN without noticing it. This exhaustion is wearing on me. Especially since I had an important IM I was waiting on last night. So, A, I'm sorry for passing out. I hope we can catch up a bit later today. It was, unfortunately, a struggle to keep me up long enough to eat last night.

It was hard leaving this morning. Not only was I tired, but Buster, the nutty Boston Terrier, was whining as I left. It's the first time he's done that since we've had him, and it made my heart melt. Poor guy. I know HTE played with him to keep him preoccupied and he has no sense of time. He's always so surprised when I come home.

Today marks an important moment...HTE is working on his NOVEL!!! Beautiful! I'm so very stoked!

As far as my writing: I've finished my novella. I just need to tweak it, and ship it off to my CP's (critique partners) for their go-over.

HTE's daughters told me some wonderful news the other day, which I'm sure he shared in his blog...but I'll mention here anyway. They are now together, safe and away from their mother. A wonderful day! I've found that they are absolutely wonderful and just as willful as their father. *WEG* My heart fills with joy knowing that they're safe. They are truly important to me, and I thank HTE for letting me be a part of their lives.

I'm hoping to catch up with the Ravyn sometime soon. The work week drains us both, so much. We'll catch up soon. I hope.

I talked on the phone with my mother last night. It was a great conversation, once we got over accidentally hurting each other's feelings. LOL. I caught up on all the family gossip, and now I'm waiting to call her after the appointment today. She's a first-time Grandma, so she's really excited too!

I hope to update more often. But it's time, once again to move to the next appointment.

Later.

Tuesdays that feel like Mondays

Welcome to my little spot in the world. I've decided to take the plunge and begin my blog. Today is my Monday, since yesterday was a federal holiday. I find that the morning drag has taken it's toll on me. Being almost two months preggars leaves me open for all kinds of nice things like constant nausea. While I'm not complaining, it does make teaching difficult. So, I drink my water and contemplate a longer break so I can get crackers from the local mini mart.

I'm almost done with my novella, which, btw, means a short novel of approx 8K - 40K words. Mine, in this case is over 13K. It's part of a trilogy, and is a project I've been working on for some time now.

This morning filled me with so much joy, as HTE decided to cook me breakfast. Pancakes with peanut butter and grape jam on top. For those of you who turn your noses up at it, all I can say is...PB and J with flat bread. LOL. We're trying to stop the sickies before they happen. In my case, being hungry makes me feel sick. So, we hoped to knock it around.

On another note, my new Issue of Enchanted Ramblings is up: http://www.enchantedramblings.net/ This quarter's edition is packed with interesting articles and wonderful stories. Stop by and take a peek.Well, it's time. I'm off to find crackers and fresh air.

I'm out.
